My artistic vision is rooted in my years of professional experience in sectors including the energy industry in the Port of Rotterdam. There, I witnessed how economic progress often takes precedence over other essential values, such as environmental impact, well-being, health, and the urgent need for sustainable change.

Through my work, I explore the ever-evolving relationship between people and their environment. Beginning with local observations, I develop historical and material research, using symbols, narratives, and traditional craftsmanship to reveal the larger societal systems that shape our lives. By telling intimate, micro-scale stories, I bring themes such as equality, harmony, and sustainability into focus.

My projects combine analytical thinking with artistic expression. By working with technically demanding materials and processes, I reflect the complexity of societal transformation. Following extensive research and experimentation, I deliberately leave room for chance and surprise, believing that unexpected discoveries often lead to new insights and moments of beauty.

By combining thoughtful design with playful and interactive elements, I aim to spark curiosity, raise awareness, and encourage meaningful conversations about the choices we make and their impact on the world around us. I invite viewers to reflect on their own role within the interconnected systems of which we are all a part, and on the consequences of the decisions we make.
